RIPSTOP
The Ripstop Fabric Range of fabric is used in the manufacture of tents, shelters, and awnings. Each product is designed with specific performance criteria to meet different needs, ranging from rooftop vehicle tents to military specifications. The Ripstop fabric is an acrylic-treated polyester fabric. It is waterproof, UV resistant and fungal resistant. It is 180 cm wide and 400 gsm. The Sand is also available in 300 gsm. The Olive is available in 300 gsm as well as 500 gsm.

Advantages & Considerations
Advantages:
Good durability due to high gsm & ripstop weaving → tears don’t spread easily.
Weather‑proof: UV, fungal, waterproof treatments.
Wide width (1.8 m) helps reduce seams in large pieces (awnings, tents).
Things to keep in mind:
Heavier weights (400‑500 gsm) are stiff, less flexible; may not be good for certain uses (e.g. clothing, lightweight gear).
